Introducing our ChiChi Collection, named for the legendary Guatemalan market held in Chichicastenango. Each bag in this collection features a small remnant from an otherwise damaged Mayan handwoven huipil (traditional blouse) or corté (skirt). All of the textiles were sourced in markets from independent artists and merchants in markets throughout the Lake Atitlan region in Guatemala.
The vintage textile used for this bag was woven by hand and indigo dyed. Paired with solid leather backing for durability and a leather tassel, this bag is so unique and yet also practical and versatile. Small enough to be light for all day comfort but large enough to hold just the essentials including a water bottle, wallet, phone and a small notebook.
