Introducing our ChiChi Collection, named for the legendary Guatemalan market held in Chichicastenango. Each bag in this collection features a small remnant from an otherwise damaged Mayan handwoven huipil (traditional blouse) or corté (skirt). All of the textiles were sourced in markets from independent artists and merchants in markets throughout the Lake Atitlan region in Guatemala.
The vintage textile used for this bag is so special - featuring intricate pink and purple weaving - this was once a very small huipil. Paired with super long, sexy leather fringe, this bag is so unique and yet also practical enough to be light enough for all day comfort and keep all of your essentials safe.
• Natural off-white canvas lining
• Measures 13" across and 11" in height
• Brass 13" YKK zipper closure
• Brown cowhide adjustable leather strap
• Brass hardware throughout
• Long 10" leather fringe
Please note - this bag is made from a vintage textile and has a natural crease mark on the centre front of the bag from its original intended use as a blouse.
While we source our textiles and embellishments from all over the world, we still lovingly made every single bag by hand in our Canadian studio.
