I am delighted to bring you this assortment of one of a kind weavings from Peru! Each textile in this limited edition collection was purchased directly from local Quechua weavers and small businesses in the Sacred Valley. Each textile is woven entirely by hand on back strap loom with wool sustainably shorn from local sheep and naturally dyed with local plants & botanicals. Weaving is a way of life for these women and deeply embedded in their culture for centuries. Each textile tells a story interwoven with symbols from culture, nature & the cosmos.
This textile would be ideally suited as a rug or throw blanket, displayed on a bed or as a piece of art hanging on a ladder.
Measures 39 x 44"
Woven entirely by hand with 100% sheep's wool.
To preserve the longevity of this textile we recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight and dry cleaning only.
As these textiles are often vintage, gently used and imported from a faraway place, from time to time small defects sometimes do appear. Small pulls, deterioration or age spots are a reality when working with rustic & handmade textiles and something you should be aware of when you place your order. While we do everything we can to try to avoid this, it is our belief that the beauty and one of a kind quality in these fabrics far outweighs these minor discrepancies.
